"It is important to have the correct level of cover so ensure you calculate the cost of all the contents you supply for your tenant's use and have the appropriate cover."
Why do I need landlord contents insurance?
The household contents you're supplying your tenants, such as sofas, beds, fridges, and other appliances and furniture will cost you money. It makes sense to take out landlord contents insurance to provide you with financial cover and protection should an insured peril damage your contents.
The items you've bought to fit and furnish your property for tenants will be covered under your landlord contents insurance policy. However, this will not cover your tenants' own personal possessions and gadgets. It's your tenants' responsibility to take out separate contents insurance policies to cover their personal possessions.
